Rickenbacker has been an integral part of the musical landscape for nearly a century, with iconic artists such as John Lennon, Tom Petty, Radiohead, Johnny Marr, and Fleet Foxes utilizing Rickenbacker instruments to craft their distinctive sounds. The Rickenbacker International Corporation (RIC) introduced the first electric "frying pan" guitar in the 1930s.
As a former owner and enthusiast, I was inspired to apply my UI/UX design expertise to enhance the customer experience on their website. My objective was to create an interactive platform that not only celebrates Rickenbacker's rich heritage but also showcases the exceptional craftsmanship of these functional works of art. My aim was to generate excitement among users, particularly those less familiar with the Rickenbacker brand. To achieve this, I conducted research with several musician colleagues and subsequently developed a site map, style guide, and accompanying design compositions, which are displayed on this page.

The animated carousel on the homepage highlights the different products from the Rickenbacker catalog.
A prototype showing the flow of the menu from the homepage to the specific 330 guitar page.
Designed and developed the “Heritage" page giving the user an opportunity to choose between two era’s of Rickenbacker’s history.
Created the guitar page utilizing large images of the guitar, to not only highlight the craftsmanship, but to invite the viewer to explore each individual model.
